  Columbus Family Practice is so much better than the other large family practice in Columbus, NE. You wait maybe 10 minutes at the most before getting called back, then once in the exam room after nurses do their job you maybe wait 5 minutes at the most for Dr Citta. Having lived here most my life, this was a shock because I had gone to the other family practice since I was a toddler. There I waited an hour in the waiting room and another hour for the Doctor in the exam room. After speaking with a former employee of the other practice it made total sense why the waits got longer and longer, they triple book the schedule every day! So going to Dr Citta has been like a dream experience compared to the majority of my medical service experiences. I no longer feel like a head of cattle. Dr Citta listens and obviously cares, and will take the time to try and help you understand the medical issues and treatments. He does a good job of keeping things at a more understandable level for us lay folk. He never talks over your head and always makes sure you're both on the same page. Very much unlike the doctors at the other family practice, he actually will talk about the financial considerations with your treatment options. I found the other place will not even discuss cost factors, they just prescribe and refer without any concern of affordability. I've never been to any other doctors at Columbus Family Practice and don't plan on it as long as Dr Citta is around, but I'm sure they are all leaps and bounds better than the alternative here in Columbus, NE. Do yourself a favor and go to Columbus Family Practice if you're already using or even considering the other family practice. Wish I wouldn't have waited till my mid 30s to go to CFP, would've saved my a lot of time, money, and aggravation. Unless you enjoy spending around 120 minutes waiting for 5 minutes of face time with a doctor who barely listens and prescribes the most expensive meds, treatments, and referrals.
